Ivory, antler and bone used in our carvings are shed (found on or buried in the ground), or are apart of the Alaska Native's right to subsistence hunt and fish. Alaska Natives who live in remote bush areas of Alaska hunt and fish for their sole food source. From subsistence fishing and hunting Alaska Natives are allowed to use the entire catch so nothing ever goes to waste.
