PLEASE NOTE that currently we are only able to accept postal money orders denominated in U.S. dollars or checks denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Checks must have a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) micro-encoded on the bottom of the check. Paying by check does slow down your order somewhat, as we don't order your items until your check is received, and we don't ship the items to you until your funds clear. If you are in the United States, paying by personal check typically delays your order about seven to ten days.
Availability: What Does It Mean?
Availability information for each item in our catalog is listed on
that item's Detail page. This availability estimate refers to the
amount of time it will take us to acquire the item once you place your
order; it does not take into consideration the amount of time
it will take your order to reach you once we ship it. Shipping time is
dependent upon the shipping method you choose. Here is the equation
you should use to determine when you will receive your order:

Substitution of products
Arctic Originals, Inc. reserves the right to substitute an item offered for sale at www.alaskaguide.com, www.beringseaoriginals.com or www.alaskahandcrafts.com with a like product of equal or greater value and quality. In our efforts to speed your order to you to maintain our best shipping times and quality of service and products delivered. Thus certain products may not be immediately available, we will substitute that item with like or better products as needed to expedite your order.
When We Charge Your Credit Card
Your credit card is processed when orders are processed and shipped. If
you've paid by check, your order will be processed upon bank payment of your check.
If you paid by check and we owe you a full or partial refund, we will
send a refund check for the correct amount.
Confirming Price and Availability
Despite our best efforts, a small number of the more than
one thousand items in our catalog are mispriced. Rest assured,
however, that we verify prices as part of our shipping procedure.
- If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we
charge the lower amount and ship you the item.
- If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we
contact you for instructions before shipping.
After we have received your order, we will also inform you by
e-mail if any items in your order prove to be unavailable.
The receipt of an e-mail order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order
or as a confirmation of an offer to sell. Arctic Originals, Inc. reserves the right, without prior
notification, to limit the order quantity on any item, on both an order and time basis
(example: quantity limit 10, total per month 10). In order to protect the interests of our
customers all orders placed for over $5,000 must obtain pre-approval with an acceptable
method of payment, as established by our Commercial Department. Additional verification
of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order.

Arctic Originals, Inc. Duty to Provide Service
Arctic Originals, Inc. (AOI) duty begins with a confirmed order that we have successfully received payment in full for services or products offered by Arctic Originals, Inc.
AOI must, within a reasonable time of 15 business days provide the requested service or product to the shipping agent agreed upon by the customer and AOI. If AOI is not able to provide the product or service within the specified time frame, AOI must then provide notice within the same reasonable time frame that a delay in service is expected. Further more, AOI must state the exact nature of the delay and an estimated time in which the delay will resolve prior to delivery of the product or service to the mutually agreed upon delivery agent requested by the customer and accepted by AOI.
AOI will provide service or notice of delay within the specified time frame or offer a refund of any and all funds paid to AOI.
Some products offered for sale by AOI are handmade to order, these include but are not limited to:
Alaskan Fur Coats
Alaskan carvings (antler, ivory, jade, soapstone, wood, gold nugget)
All handmade items as defined within the on-line store
All special orders, to include but not limited to footwear, coats, carvings
Special order items all carry a minimum of 20% cancellation fee unless otherwise specified
AOI's responsibility to the buyer is to provide a mutually agreed upon service or product to the delivery agent within 15 business days or fair notice of delay. Once AOI provides said product or service to the delivery agent, AOI's responsibility to the customer is completed. The delivery agent then carries the burden to deliver the product or service to the customer as per their policy. Tracking when available will be made available to the customer (see next section, "Shipping Agent Standards").

All shipping costs are Estimated, shipping fees include handling costs for package preperation to ship from Alaska to your destination
Our base shipping is USPS (FOB) from Anchorage, Alaska. United States Parcel Service (USPS) offers the most cost effective and effecient solution to meet your shipping needs. Arctic Originals, Inc. ships all orders daily (monday - friday) from our warehouses located in Anchorage, Alaska. We ship via USPS Priority, delivery time is approximately 2-8 business days depending on where you live. Orders are processed and mailed same day if received prior to 12PM PST, otherwise orders are sent the following business day. If your order is placed after 12PM PST on Friday, your order will be processed and shipped the next business day, Monday (except holidays). All shipping and handling costs are priced as approximate. If the shipping and handling results in additional charges other than those provided to you at the time of your checkout and payment on-line, we will notify you by phone or e-mail prior to shipping your order for authorization of this additional fee. If shipping is less than expected we will automatically adjust your bill accordingly (yes this happens on ocasion, and we do credit you!).
Please note that USPS does not ship ground service outside of Alaska or outside the contiguous 48 continental United States. Rates are based on weight, box size, and method of shipping, we ship USPS Priority to all locations outside Alaska unless otherwise specified and agreed upon by buyer. All Free Shipping applies only to addresses within Alaska and the Contiguous 48 Continental USA , all other locations require special handling charges for which you must contact us for shipping/handling rates.
Exact Address Requirments & Service Handling Fees
We are assessed certain fees when packages are redirected by the delivery service, we pass those fees on to you the customer/buyer. Minimum fee charged is $5.75 fee for non-exact address matches, address corrections and re-direct services. Please check the mailing address carefully when filling out the mail to portion of the order, this will help speed your purchase to you and avoid delays in delivery and service fees. Arctic Originals, Inc. will reserve the right to pass any and all fees onto the consumer where the carrier charges a wrong address or re-delivery service charge, with the following exceptions:
- Arctic Originals, Inc. shipping and receiving department was in error when addressing your package.
- Prior arrangement was made by the consumer with Arctic Originals, Inc. for re-delivery service and fees were waived.
Shipping outside USA, Policy
Arctic Originals, Inc. is not responsible for Foreign Taxation and Customs fees charged by foreign countries. Buyer and recepient are responsible for all fees charged by foreign governments. Buyer and recepient of goods purchased in the United States and sent to a foreign country are subject to taxation by that country, it is advised that buyer and recpient review laws and policies of foreign countries before placing orders that are shipped outside the United States. Delivery Guarantee, tracking your order
Arctic Originals, Inc. by Arctic Originals, Inc. does not offer any guarantee beyond what is offered by the shipping agent. You may track your order on-line with us by clicking on Track Your Order. We provide UPS, DHL, FedEx or USPS tracking numbers when available and requested by the customer. Tracking numbers are provided to us by the shipping agent, we are not responsible for the accuracy of the information provided by the shipping agent. Tracking data is for tracking purposes and is only an estimate of delivery times, not a guarantee of delivery date or time.
Arctic Originals, Inc. is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged items during shipment.
Each shipment is insured against said loss or damage for which the recepient of the shipment must make application to the appropriate shipping agent to receive renumerification for said losses. We will be happy to assist you with this process should you require such assistance. Delays beyond our control including, but not limited to, the following: the unavailability or refusal of a person to accept delivery of the shipment, acts of God, public authorities acting with actual or apparent authority on the premises, acts or omissions of customs or similar authorities, riots, strikes or other labor disputes, civil commotions, disruptions in air or ground transportation networks due to weather phoneomena, and natural disasters. You will be notified of such occurances which may delay shipment or arrival of your package(s), we will do everything possible to gain delivery of your package(s). Returns & Refunds Policy
Because of health and safety concerns, we cannot accept returns on any washable or reusable products. We can not accept returns of any products not purchased here at Arctic Originals, Inc. For any perishable product returns, we can only accept unopened cases for returns. All returned item shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. In addition to return mailing costs the buyer will be charged a 20% restocking fee on all returns, unless we are in error, or the item returned is exchanged for same (or higher) priced item found on Arctic Originals, Inc. on-line store. In the rare event of a manufacture defect we will at the discretion of Arctic Originals, Inc. send out a new replacement item(s) or call back your item for a full refund or replacement, shipping charges are paid by Arctic Originals, Inc. Please e-mail us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number, do not send the item back until we contact you with the RMA Number, you will not receive a refund without an RMA number issued by Arctic Originals, Inc. Return Policy Outline
Our returns policy is simple. Within 30 days of receipt of your order,
you may return:
- any item in its original unused condition.
- any unopened music CD, DVD, VHS tape, or software
- any other merchandise item in new condition, with its original packaging and accessories.
- 20% restocking fee will apply on all returns unless we are in error, or exchanged for another item in our store of same value or higher.
- return postage to Arctic Originals, Inc. is the responsibility of the customer unless we are in error.
- returned items found to be in poor condition or not in original item boxes may result in a zero refund.
- returned items without an Return Authorization Number issued by AOI may result in a zero refund.
- returned items that arrive back to AOI's return shipping address beyond 30 days past the post mark on the box when we sent your order may result in a zero refund, even with the issued RMA number.
- we can process returns and
refunds only for items purchased from Arctic Originals, Inc.
Our returns center cannot process exchanges. If the item is a
gift, we can issue a check refund to the gift recipient at the same
address to which the order was shipped. Including the e-mail address or name of the person who gave the gift will help to expedite the process.
If the item is not a gift, we will notify you via e-mail of your
refund once we have received and processed the returned item. Please
note that we can refund shipping costs only if the return is a result
of our error.
You MUST request a Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) within
30 days of our mailing postal date on the package. Arctic Originals, Inc. will review and issue your RMA
as per our policy and standards stated in our return policy (see previous section "REFUNDS").
Once you have a RMA issued from Arctic Originals, Inc.
Follow all the directions provided by AOI to return your package.
Your RMA number is valid for 5 business days from date of release by Arctic Originals, Inc.
Your return must be postmarked within the specified 5 business day time period.
Do NOT return your package without an RMA from Arctic Originals, Inc. call 888-254-8433 if you have questions.
Write the reason for your return on the back of your packing
slip. Enclose the slip in the carton, wrap the package securely, and
address the package listed on the top of your packing slip.
Write the RMA number on the outside of the package.
If you do not have your packing slip, please indicate the order
number on a separate piece of paper along with your issued RMA number and send the package to the

Arctic Originals, Inc. is not responsible for lost or stolen items not received to our Returns Deptartment.
Returns after 30 days with or without an RMA number
For returns received after 30 days from date of shipment or proof of delivery via tracking data for the parcel, Arctic Originals, Inc. may at its discretion refuse receipt of your parcel and return it back to you. Your RMA number is valid for 5 business days from the date we provide it to you. Your package return must be postmarked within the 5 business day time-line for its acceptance upon return to Arctic Originals, Inc.
Arctic Originals, Inc. reserves the right to decide on a case-by-case basis the following:

- Refuse and return the parcel to you or accept the parcel.
- Accept the parcel and grant in-store credit for the value of the product less 20% restocking and cost of postage. In-store credit balance expires 12 months from the date Arctic Originals, Inc. takes delivery of the returned item.
- All items will be inspected for damage or mis-use. If damaged or used, items will be returned at senders expense without refund or store-credit allowance granted.
Credit Card Fraud Guarantee Details
- Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank can not hold you liable for
more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you
liable for any of this $50.00, Arctic Originals, Inc. will cover the entire
liability for you, up to the full $50.00. Arctic Originals, Inc. will only cover
this liability if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted
through no fault of your own from purchases made at Arctic Originals, Inc. while
using the secure server (this offer is limited to those who use the secure server noted by gold unbroken keys on a blue background)
- In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
We do not sell or rent our list of customers their credit information, addresses, phone numbers, or other information collected here to process your order to anyone, ever.
